Girls Soccer

 

Equipment

  • All players must wear shin pads. A player cannot take the field without shin pads.
  • No metal studs.
  • Hats are not to be worn on the field, except for goalkeepers.
  • Please use a size 4 soccer ball.

Playing Time and Referring

  • Juniors play first and Seniors play second, unless other arrangements are made.
  • Games must start on time, as we need to leave the ground by 10:50am. If a game starts late, the remaining time is to be split evenly between Juniors and Seniors.
  • GAME TIMES JUNIORS12 minutes each half. SENIORS15 minutes each half.
  • Each game will have a 2 minute half time break. If games are running late, half time break may be forfeited.
  • Teachers are to referee half of each game, unless other arrangements have been made prior to the commencement of the game/competition.

Fields and Interchange

  • During Junior games, all goal kicks are to be brought forward to be in line with the penalty spot.
  • All corners are to be taken 3-4 metres in from the corner area.
  • During Senior games all goal kicks and corners are to be taken from the correct areas, unless agreed upon by both coaches prior to the commencement of the game.
  • The competition will run as unlimited interchange.

Competition

  • If soccer is rained out the round will be cancelled and no points given.
  • The Winner will be the school with the most points.
  • Runner- up will be the school with the second most points.
  • In the event two schools have the same number of points then positions will be decided on goal difference. In the event that schools are tied on goal difference then they will be declared joint premiers.
  • Please note there will be no Final.

  • The main rule to get your head around will be the ‘Offside’ Rule. I will leave ‘Play-on’ calls to the discretion of the teacher refereeing the match, but there must be an advantage to the team who has the penalty.
